Madurai, Apr 29 (PTI) A Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the Union Government to take up the "war crimes committed against the Tamils in Sri Lanka" in the International Criminal Court has been filed at the Madras High Court bench here. Petitioner Priyan, of Palayamkottai, submitted that Tamils, who had their origin in India, had not only settled in Sri Lanka, but in different countries around the world, and it was the duty of the government to take up their grievances.
